- To be aware of the OT’s scheduled and being aware of the cases that have been allotted.
- To ensure that all equipments / requirements are available as per the case requirement, before the surgery, and are in good working condition.
- To operate equipments like C-Arm, Setting of T.V, VCR, Camera (Laparoscopic equipments) etc.
- To inform the sister-in-charge / OT secretary to correspond with the biomedical department in case of non-functioning or any other equipments related problem.
- Attachment of OT table, video trolley with camera, microscope etc. Ensuring to keep it back after procedure.
- Shift patient to recovery. Help the patient to be in correct position, Attaching monitor, oxygen mask, and ensuring that the patient is comfortable. Inform pharmacy stores for use consumables.
- Preparing for the OT set up for the next case.
- To be on call during night shifts.
- Any equipment breakdown during the procedure needs to be informed to OT in charge.
- Proper handling and caring of all the equipments.
- In case of any problem with the equipment, send the complaint to the concerned person in writing
- Damaged equipment should be replaced immediately.
- Maintain daily inventory checking.
- Stock checking should be done once in a week.
- Prepare and maintain a stock register.
- Participate in CQI programmer of the organization.
